Hey There!

A few things about me:
I grew up in Bay City, MI. One of my passions is animals, especially dogs! I was a foster mom to 4 dogs with various health issues, including a boxer with a torn ACL and a puppy with a congenital limb deformation that required a full amputation. My fostering came to an end with the adoption of my pit bull, Aubrey. In my free time I enjoy traveling, roller coasters, thrift shopping and DIY projects.
My goals for clinical rotations are to gain experience and feel confident with a wide variety of specimens. I'm excited to build connections and learn from experienced PAs. I'm also interested in seeing what type of hospital I prefer; academic or private, big or small, urban or rural, autopsies or no autopsies.
My long term career goals are to find a workplace that I am comfortable at. This means having a trusting and respectful relationship with everyone in the lab, being able to voice my opinions and feeling that my voice is being heard. However, it is also very important to me that I never stop learning so I don't want to feel comfortable in the way that I stop challenging myself. I am also eager to teach and would love to give back to students interested in the field.
